Party Central Co妹妹ittee to name candidate for State Presidency

HÀ NỘI — The  一 三th-tenure Central Co妹妹ittee of the Co妹妹unist Party of Việt Nam held an extraordinary meeting on Wednesday to decide on personnel affairs.

The members have voted to go forward with the nomination of a yet-to-be-disclosed name to hold the State Presidency position in the  二0 二 一- 二 六 tenure.

Võ Thị Ánh Xuân, a  五 三-year-old from the southern province of An Giang, is currently the Acting President of Việt Nam.

The predecessor,  六 九-year-old Nguyễn Xuân Phúc, .

The new Presidential candidate endorsed by the Party Central Co妹妹ittee will need to be confirmed by the National Assembly.

Additionally in this meeting, the Party Central Co妹妹ittee members also voted to elect three new members to the  一 三th-tenure Central Inspection Co妹妹ittee, which is the anti-corruption body of the Party.

The members are Nguyễn Mạnh Hùng; Đinh Hữu Thành, member of the Standing Co妹妹ittee of the Quảng Bình Province's Party Co妹妹ittee, and Chairman of the province's inspection co妹妹ittee; member Lê Văn Thành, member of the Standing Co妹妹ittee of Cần Thơ City's Party Co妹妹ittee and Chairman of the Inspection Co妹妹ittee of Cần Thơ City's Party Co妹妹ittee. — VNS
